Cactus Feeders | Feedyard Photography

Apr 9, 2017

I was photographing a conference last fall in Amarillo and had my entire week/month/quarter completely booked up. For a person who finds her 8 hours of sleep and downtime as necessary as breathing, I was relieved to see a morning block of my schedule completely unscheduled before I caught a flight out to my next shoot.

But then the photographer in me, who will do anything for the shot, decided to sacrifice all. She scheduled a sunrise feedyard shoot before my flight out. So, on my morning off, I got up well before the crack of dawn and met my friends at Wrangler Feedyard, and we had a spectacular morning. These hazy, buttery images are some of my favorites, ever. They definitely made up for my lack of downtime-as-necessary-as-breathing and the fact that I headed into the airport smelling like manure. 😷😃
